Are you looking for natural infertility help? I will say from the outset that I do not understand this terrible pain or journey, but I have found an interesting study that I would like to share. I have read the book, Folk Medicine by D. C. Jarvis M. D. that was originally published back in 1958. Dr. Jarvis published some of his “secrets of nature” that he and other Vermonters discovered that were passed down for at least five generations. The ideal of Vermont folk medicine he said was to condition the body in its entirety so that disease would not attack. Dr. Jarvis used and tried much of what he recommended on animals. The results were amazing. He said, “If you care to go to school to the bees, the fowl, the cats, dogs, goats, mink, calves, dairy cows, bulls and horses and allow them to teach you their ways…you will gain insight into a physiological and biochemical medicine not to be learned from medical books.”
Dr. Jarvis sites a study of a mixed herd of 54 dairy cows and the owner told him that 23 of them would not start a new pregnancy. These cows had turned into “boarders” and was upsetting his herd’s milk production. Dr. Jarvis suggested that for each twice daily feeding the farmer would pour two ounces of apple cider vinegar over the ration of each of the 23 cows. He also suggested that the herd bull have two ounces of apple cider vinegar. The vinegar ration was started on November 1. By the last week in the following February, each of the 23 cows had started a new pregnancy and in due time gave birth to strong and healthy calves. According to Jarvis, each calf was born with a heavy coat of hair and strong rugged legs. The calves were said to be intelligent as well. The same type of experiment was tried on a kennel of boxer dogs in which the owner only had one out of the five litters produce. Dr. Jarvis suggested that once a day the ration of each dog would be reinforced with one tablespoon of apple cider vinegar. During the following year, all 5 females produced litters. The puppies were born healthy and strong.
Dr. Jarvis later suggested his apple cider vinegar protocol to his friend and wife who were unable to get pregnant. He recommended that both exchange wheat foods and wheat cereals for corn or oat cereals and corn or rye bread and instead of white sugar, they used honey. In place of citrus fruits such as oranges and grapefruit, he suggested apples, grapes and cranberries. Each meal this couple also added two teaspoons of honey and two teaspoons of apple cider vinegar to a glass of water, sipping it during the meal. As a result, a child was born to this couple. pH balance is essential to wellbeing and Dr. Jarvis certainly made the case for it. I talk further about pH balance here. Try my apple cider vinegar recipe here.
Another interesting point that should be mentioned is that the food we eat has a direct relationship on our health. Dr. Jarvis mentioned that his friends exchanged the wheat for corn, which makes sense. However, today we now have GMO or genetically modified (via the DNA of the seed) corn that they did not have back in the 1950s. GMOs have been known to cause infertility and in fact, it is estimated that today over 90% of our corn in the U. S. is GMO. I have written more about this point on my post entitled The GMO and Gluten Intolerance Connection. There is also a video in that post that can help you understand more about GMOs.
Infertility is not easy. It is my desire, however, that this post may give someone out there a little more hope today 🙂
