Wondering what an essential oil is?
An essential oil is a concentrated liquid containing aroma compounds from plants. They are also known as volatile oils, or simply as the “oil of” the plant from which they were extracted. An oil is “essential” in the sense that it carries a distinctive scent, or essence, of the plant and are generally extracted by steam distillation. The oils can be used in perfumes, cosmetics, soaps, cleaning products, and for flavoring food and drink.
Various essential oils have been used medicinally in history and there are many historical accounts of their use. Interest in the essential oils has increased with the popularity today, especially among women and are now being used in aromatherapy, alternative medicine, massage therapy, and more.
Many think essential oils are a farce or simply not worth the money, but I have found better health for my family since we’ve made the switch. Up front it may be a bit more expensive, but the doctor visits have been fewer.
I never thought I’d start making my own natural home products using essential oil recipes…
But things change and my desire for healthier living has greatly increased. No longer do I want artificial, hormone changing scents in my home; .

I love essential oils and I do believe they have great benefit. Always read the bottle for correct application and test for any allergies when trying for the first time.
