Have you wondered lately why there are so many people who seem to be getting cancer? There are many reports that say cancer is on the decline here in the U. S., but I don’t see it. We all seem to know someone who is affected by it. I wonder how well the FDA is alerting us to the dangers of these BANNED FOODS or additives and genetically modified organisms (GMOs) mentioned below? I’ve written another post regarding the GMOs we are all now consuming. These are serious concerns and I believe it will change the health of future generations dramatically. For those of you interested in my post entitled, Cancer Cures…You Decide, click here.
Check and see how many of these banned foods you are consuming:
- BHA (Butylated Hydroxyanisole) and BHT (Butylated Hydroxytoluene). Where do you find this? Potato chips, sausage, cereal. BHA and BHT are banned from foods in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Japan and throughout Europe.
- Azodicarbonamide. Where do you find it? Soft white breads, including hamburger buns at McDonald’s and Burger King. If you add azodicarbonamide to food in Singapore, you could face up to 15 years in prison and a nearly $500,000 fine. It can interfere with respiratory health, causing allergic reactions and asthma in some people.
- Recombinant Bovine Growth Hormone and Recombinant Bovine Somatropin. Where do you find this? Milk. The use of these synthetic hormones is not permitted in the European Union, Canada, and some other countries. Try buying milk labeled rBGH/rBST-free or organic milk.
- Potassium Bromate. Where do you find this? Bread dough. Potassium bromate has been banned in the EU, Canada, Peru, Nigeria, Brazil, South Korea and China. Researchers in Japan published a study showing that potassium bromate causes cancer in the thyroids, kidneys and other body parts of rats and mice.
- Olestra. Where do you find it? Fat-free foods, including chips, crackers and fries. Illegal in Canada and the United Kingdom. Side effects: gas, cramps and diarrhea.
- Genetically Modified Canola Oil, Corn, Soybeans. Where do we find this? In everything! 90% of canola oil in the U.S. is GMO, 90% of corn and 90% of soybeans. Animal studies have shown devastating effects from genetically engineered organisms including allergies, sterility, birth defects and more.
- Blue Dye #1, Yellow Dye #5, Yellow Dye #6. Where do you find these? Cheese-flavored crackers and chips, colorful cereals, butterscotch pudding, food coloring, ice cream, yellow sports drinks macaroni and cheese mixes. Lab studies showed a link between the additive and tumors in the adrenal glands and kidneys and livers of animals. Some of the dyes negatively affects markers of disease in vital organs. These dyes have been banned in various countries including: Austria, Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Spain, Sweden, and Switzerland.
